Our commitment to community
Our commitments
At Made Open, we are committed to connecting communities and enabling our clients to make real social change. Via our software and services, we directly address social issues - prioritising accessibility, inclusivity and productivity.
From project discussions to staff team days, we frequently engage in dialogue about Made Open's vision and values, staying dedicated to our social and environmental objectives as a B-Corp.
Charitable giving
Made Open is dedicated to giving back to the community - showcased mostly by our entry-level plan. Each year, we provide additional discounts and offer pro-bono work to charities. Our team has also decided to support Surfers Against Sewage by making monthly donations.
Staff volunteering commitment
Made Open dedicates one paid working day per year for each employee and director to volunteer for a company cause or local community project. These volunteering hours usually occur during Made Open's quarterly staff team days. Past examples include participating in local beach clean-up projects.
Participation
Made Open's directors, Kathryn and Robert, are regularly asked to offer their support to people, projects and systems benefitting communities in both Cornwall, where we are based, and elsewhere. If these requests are relevant to their cause or passions, they provide this pro-bono assistance whenever possible, if they are able to balance their other commitments.
